Blue Goldflake Strat Samwick Metal Strat:
Basswood body, transparent blue with a subtle amount of gold-flake.

I was surprised, for an inexpensive guitar, this one rocks.
Solid neck, great intonation. The action makes this one easy to play.

The PRS humbucker adds some beef and a tone-volume bypass switch allows the pickups to go directly to the output jack.
Lado Strat Lado Strat :
This one had a Kahler tremolo bridge that the owner wanted replaced with a Schaller roller bridge.

The tremolo cavity needed to be filled so that the new bridge could be mounted. We used Ash for the block to fill the cavity and a solid 1/8th inch brass riser for the bridge.

We also replaced the humbucker with an EMG HZ H4A which uses the Alnico 5 magnets.
Warmoth Jazz Bass Warmoth 5 String Jazz Bass(JazzMan):

Sunburst Redwood Burl veneer on Alder body...both sides.

Matched the veneer on the control plate. The neck and fretboard is Goncalo Alves.

Seymour Duncan MusicMan pickup with active electronics makes this Jazz Bass thinks it's a MusicMan.
1988 Fender Telecaster 1988 Fender Telecaster:

It looked like a pitbull chewed on it, and required some body work.

Elm Burl veneer stained Purple and sunburst with Van Dyke Brown. Added new f-hole pickguard.

The pickups where kept, but the electronics were completely rebuilt. Bridge was cleaned up and two tuners were replaced. Copper foiled all cavites.
1988 Fender Heavy Metal Strat 1988 Fender HM Strat:

Wanted it all Black not Pink

Kahler spyder bridge needed some rebuilding...allen key sockets on string locks were stripped and someone used plyers on them, so we had them slotted and turned down alittle on a lathe.

Replaced one tuner, the tap switch, the 5-way switch, and three new control knobs.

No 'STRAT' logo anymore...all black.
Fender Squire Strat Fender Squire Strat:

Redwood Burl on a Maple body, added veneer to peghead.

Re-wired switches for series/parallel combinations. Copper foiled all cavities.
Skull Stratocaster Skull Stratocaster:

Wood-burning of a skeleton on maple squire body. The bones were kept the natural color of the maple and the rest of the body was stained and antiqued. This strat had at one time been painted black...I mean everything was black...take a look at the pickguard and tremelo springs to give yourself an idea. The electronics were replaced with new parts, the pickups were built using our pickup winder. The neck was from another guitar, the fretboard needed to be removed and re-glued...and the peghead was reshaped . The bridge was rebuilt from three different Fender style bridges. Aluminium pickguard, and new control knobs with Abalone inlay.

Dan Armstrong Bass Dan Armstrong Ampeg Bass:

New owner wanted it converted from left-hand to right-hand,
and changed from normal bass tuning (E to G), to a picollo bass, tuned from B to D.

71 Fender Jazz Bass 71 Fender Jazz Bass:

The G string was too close to the edge of the fret board making it difficult to play without pulling the string over the edge.

Unkown Guitar from Japan Teisco EP-???

Made in Japan, brand, model, year?
I know this style was around in the 60's but they had a different peghead shape. The peghead shape on this one seems more from the late 50's. If any one knows please contact me.

Pieces that were left over from the Telecaster
I might use them for a peghead or pickguard....
I save pieces that are big enough for other projects.
